Chakkakuru Mezhukkupuratti (Jackfruit Seed Stir-Fry)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups jackfruit seeds, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add curry leaves, chopped onion, and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add the sliced jackfruit seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the jackfruit seeds are tender and cooked through.
  5. Once done, remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish.
