Ingredients
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the jasmine rice, tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
