Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the beef with oyster sauce, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Pour in the water and continue to stir-fry for another minute, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then transfer to a serving dish.
