Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb Chinese broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Stir-fry the beef until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining oil in the wok. Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  4. Add the Chinese broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the wok. Add oyster sauce and water. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
