Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs pork ribs, cut into individual pieces
- 3 tbsp preserved plum, mashed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, marinate the pork ribs with soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, sesame oil, white pepper, garlic, ginger, and green onions. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- After marinating, place the pork ribs in a heatproof dish and spread the mashed preserved plum on top.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry over the pork ribs.
- Steam the pork ribs over high heat for 1 hour, or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
- Serve the Chaozhou Gon Heung Paai Guat hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
