Ingredients
- 1 pound spare ribs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons preserved plum paste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the spare ribs with preserved plum paste, garlic, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and white pepper. Marinate for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the spare ribs and mix well to coat.
- Transfer the spare ribs to a heatproof plate and spread them out evenly.
- Place the plate in a steamer over boiling water and steam for 45 minutes or until the spare ribs are tender.
- Once cooked, garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
