Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 20 round dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, water chestnuts, and green onions.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half, pleating the edges to seal.
  3. Place the dumplings in a steamer lined with parchment paper and steam for 12-15 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Serve the Chaozhou Sui Kau hot with soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.
