Ingredients

  • 200g ground pork
  • 200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 20 square dumpling wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, and water chestnuts.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.
  3. Bring the chicken broth to a boil in a large pot. Add the green onions.
  4. Place the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam for 8-10 minutes, until the filling is cooked through.
  5. Serve the dumplings in bowls with the hot broth.
