Ingredients
- 1 whole goose, cut into pieces
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice wine
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 slices ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, ginger, garlic, star anise, cinnamon stick, and five-spice powder.
- Add the goose pieces to the pot and marinate for 1 hour.
- Add water to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours, or until the goose is tender.
- Remove the goose from the pot and let it cool. Slice and serve.
