Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, mint, green bell pepper, green chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, egg, bread crumbs, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a flat, round kebab patty.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the kebabs for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  4. Remove the kebabs from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  5. Serve the Chapli Kebabs hot with naan bread, yogurt sauce, and a side of salad.
