Charsiew Fried Rice Adventure

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 200g charsiew (Chinese BBQ pork), diced
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add a bit of oil and scramble the beaten eggs. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  2. In the same wok, add a bit more oil and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced charsiew and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and continue stir-frying for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the wok and stir-fry with the ingredients, breaking up any clumps.
  6. Drizzle the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil over the rice. Sprinkle with white pepper and mix well.
  7. Return the scrambled eggs to the wok and toss everything together.
  8. Add the chopped green onions and give it a final stir before removing from heat.
  9. Serve the Charsiew Fried Rice hot and enjoy!
