Chebureki (Meat-filled Fried Pastries)
Chebureki are delicious meat-filled fried pastries that originate from Caucasian cuisine. They are perfect for a hearty and satisfying meal or snack.
Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 500g store-bought puff pastry
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into circles using a round cutter.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto one half of each pastry circle.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Fry the chebureki in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
