Chechen-style Kebabs (Хьаламаш)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each portion into a long, sausage-like shape around a skewer.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  4. Place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is no longer pink in the center.
  5. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
