Хьаламаш (Chechen-style Meat Skewers) are a traditional dish from Chechen cuisine, featuring tender and flavorful meat skewers that are perfect for grilling or stovetop cooking.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the beef, onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, and olive oil. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Heat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the skewers from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
