Cheese Rolls (drojdie Cu Brânză)

Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 1 1/2 cups of grated cheese (such as feta or telemea)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix the grated cheese, beaten egg, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto each square of puff pastry.
  5. Roll up each square into a tight roll and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
