Cheeseburger Sub

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the ketchup and mustard, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Split the hoagie rolls and place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom of each roll.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture onto the rolls and top with another slice of cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the subs on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
