Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Few curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add the chopped onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated prawns to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.
  4. Once the prawns are cooked, increase the heat to high and fry for 2-3 minutes until the prawns turn slightly crispy.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
