Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 4-5 green chilies, slit
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to make a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
  4. In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil and add curry leaves, green chilies, and sliced onion. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
  5. Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and toss well to coat with the onion and chili mixture.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
