Ingredients

  • 500g yak meat, thinly sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
  5. Add the sliced yak meat and stir-fry for 10-15 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or bread.
