Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup grated yak cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for greasing
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the grated yak cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt to taste to create the filling.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin, round wrapper.
- Place a spoonful of the yak cheese filling in the center of each wrapper and seal the momos into the desired shape.
- Steam the momos in a greased steamer for 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked and the filling is hot.
