Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup grated yak cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and water to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the grated yak cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, and salt. Mix well to form the stuffing.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
  4. Place a spoonful of the yak cheese stuffing in the center of each circle and fold the edges to form a momo.
  5. Steam the momos for 10-12 minutes until the dough is cooked and the filling is hot.
  6. Serve the Chhurpi Momos hot with a spicy dipping sauce.
