Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups purple corn kernels
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 cloves
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup lime juice
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the water, purple corn kernels, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the liquid into a pitcher, discarding the solids. Allow the chicha morada to cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine the pineapple chunks, sugar, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the blended pineapple mixture into the pitcher with the chicha morada. Stir to combine.
- Refrigerate the chicha morada smoothie until chilled, then serve over ice.
