Ingredients

  • 4 chicken legs
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon clove powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 4-5 green chilies
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ginger-garlic paste, vinegar, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper, cinnamon powder, clove powder, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, and salt to form a marinade.
  2. Marinate the chicken legs in the prepared mixture and let it sit for 1 hour.
  3. In a blender, combine fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, and lemon juice to make a smooth green paste.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and cook the marinated chicken legs until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, spread the green paste over the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Chicken Cafreal is ready to be served hot with steamed rice or bread.
