Chicken Curry (tatar Style Chicken Curry)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs (700g) chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) yogurt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  2. Add onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
