Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 4-5 tablespoons mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Water for kneading

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and cook on medium heat until the oil separates and the chicken is tender.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the luchi by kneading the flour with water to form a smooth dough. Divide the dough into small balls and roll out into flat discs. Deep fry in hot oil until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Serve the hot chicken curry with the crispy luchi.
