Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 cup thick coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour with a little salt and water to form a smooth dough. Shape the dough into small dumplings and set aside.
- In a deep pan, heat some oil and add the chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the chicken pieces, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Pour in the thick coconut milk and bring the gravy to a gentle simmer.
- Gently drop the rice flour dumplings into the simmering gravy. Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through.
- Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot.
