Chicken Ghee Roast

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp tamarind paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add fenugreek seeds. Once they start to splutter, add the marinated chicken.
  3. Cook the chicken on medium heat until it is tender and the ghee starts to separate from the masala.
  4. Add tamarind paste and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
