Chicken Kofta Curry
Chicken Kofta Curry is a popular Pakistani dish made with ground chicken formed into meatballs and cooked in a flavorful curry sauce. It's a delicious and comforting meal that is perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 500g ground chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the ground chicken, onion, green chilies, coriander, bread crumbs, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Form the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the yogurt and tomato puree. Cook for a few minutes, then add water and bring to a simmer.
- Add the fried meatballs to the curry sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the Chicken Kofta Curry hot with rice or naan.
