Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup egg noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chicken pieces, onion, carrots, celery, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Remove the chicken pieces from the pot and shred the meat. Discard the bones and return the shredded chicken to the pot.
- Add the egg noodles to the pot and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
