Chicken Potstickers
Chicken potstickers are a delicious and savory appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. These crispy and flavorful dumplings are filled with a tasty mixture of ground chicken, vegetables, and seasonings, and then pan-fried to perfection. They are great for serving as a snack, appetizer, or even as part of a main meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 cups finely shredded cabbage
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 24 round potsticker or gyoza wrappers
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, cabbage, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Mix until well combined.
- Place a small spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each potsticker wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half, pleating the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the potstickers in the skillet in a single layer and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour 1/4 cup of water into the skillet and immediately cover with a lid. Steam the potstickers for 5-6 minutes, or until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through.
- Remove the lid and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the bottoms of the potstickers are crispy.
- Transfer the potstickers to a serving platter and serve with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
