Chicken Tinola Twist

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, julienned
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup malunggay leaves
  • 1 cup squash, cubed
  • 1 cup spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
  2. Saute the onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add the squash and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the malunggay leaves and spinach. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
