Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 3-4 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup (120ml) vinegar
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them crackle.
- Add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Stir in the turmeric, red chili powder, paprika, and garam masala. Cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in the vinegar and add salt. Stir well and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
