Ingredients

  • 2 kg fresh crab
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 in ginger, grated
  • 4-5 red chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean and prepare the fresh crab by removing the top shell and gills. Cut the crab into pieces.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped red chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the crab pieces to the wok and stir-fry for a few minutes until they turn red.
  4. Stir in tomato ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, and water. Mix well and let the crab simmer in the sauce until fully cooked.
  5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped spring onions.
