Chili Garlic Beef (La Jiao Suàn Niu Li)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, and brown sugar. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Pour in the sauce mixture and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is coated and the sauce thickens.
  5. Add the green onions and stir to combine.
  6. Remove from heat and serve the chili garlic beef hot with steamed rice.
