La Jiao Suàn Niu Li, also known as Chili Garlic Beef, is a popular dish in Pakistani Chinese cuisine. It features tender beef strips stir-fried with a spicy and savory chili garlic sauce, creating a flavorful and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, and brown sugar. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is coated and the sauce thickens.
- Add the green onions and stir to combine.
- Remove from heat and serve the chili garlic beef hot with steamed rice.
