Chili Garlic Prawns (La Jiao Suàn Xia)
La Jiao Suàn Xia, also known as Chili Garlic Prawns, is a popular dish in Pakistani Chinese cuisine. This spicy and flavorful prawn dish is a perfect combination of Chinese and Pakistani flavors.
Ingredients
- 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1/4 cup spring onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the prawns with soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, vinegar, sugar, and black pepper for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
- Add the marinated prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
- Add green chilies, spring onions, and salt. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- La Jiao Suàn Xia is ready to be served hot.
