Chili Garlic Prawns (La Jiao Suàn Xia)

Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1/4 cup spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the prawns with soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, vinegar, sugar, and black pepper for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the marinated prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink.
  4. Add green chilies, spring onions, and salt. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. La Jiao Suàn Xia is ready to be served hot.
