Ingredients

  • 2 ripe plantains
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Peel the plantains and slice them thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, paprika, and black pepper.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the plantain slices in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  5. Remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. While still hot, sprinkle the spiced mixture over the chips and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Allow the chips to cool before serving.
