Ingredients

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon ice water
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, sugar, and salt. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add the egg yolk and ice water. Pulse until the dough comes together.
  3. Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Line the chilled tart crust with parchment paper and fill with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the parchment paper and weights, then bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden. Allow to cool.
