Chorreadas
Chorreadas are a traditional Costa Rican dish made from fresh corn. These delicious corn pancakes are perfect for breakfast or as a side dish for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh corn kernels
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a blender, puree 1 cup of the corn kernels with the flour and milk until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the remaining corn kernels, egg, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Pour 1/4 cup of the batter into the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
