Ingredients

  • 12 oz wide rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice noodles in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the sauce.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the bell pepper and broccoli, and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add the soaked rice noodles to the wok, then pour the sauce over the noodles and vegetables. Toss everything together and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Transfer the chow fun to a serving platter and serve hot.
