Chow Fun
Chow fun is a popular Chinese stir-fried noodle dish made with wide rice noodles, vegetables, and a savory sauce. It's a delicious and satisfying meal that can be customized with your favorite ingredients.
Ingredients
- 12 oz wide rice noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Soak the rice noodles in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the sauce.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the bell pepper and broccoli, and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the soaked rice noodles to the wok, then pour the sauce over the noodles and vegetables. Toss everything together and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Transfer the chow fun to a serving platter and serve hot.
