Choy (fragrant Cardamom Tea)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
  • 4 black tea bags
  • Sugar or honey, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the water and crushed cardamom pods to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, add the tea bags and reduce the heat to a simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and let the tea steep for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Discard the tea bags and cardamom pods, then sweeten the tea with sugar or honey to taste.
  5. Pour the fragrant cardamom tea into cups and serve hot.
