Chuanr (spiced Manchu Chicken Skewers)

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns, crushed
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 12 bamboo skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vegetable oil, Sichuan peppercorns, cumin powder, chili powder, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked bamboo skewers, alternating with green onions and cilantro.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot.
