Chun Juan (crispy Spring Rolls)
Chun Juan, also known as Crispy Spring Rolls, is a popular appetizer in Pakistani Chinese cuisine. These delicious spring rolls are filled with a flavorful mixture of vegetables and meat, then deep-fried until crispy and golden brown.
Ingredients
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- 200g ground chicken or beef
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper.
- Place a spoonful of the filling onto a spring roll wrapper and fold the sides over the filling. Roll up tightly, sealing the edges with water.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Fry the spring rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the spring rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
