Ingredients

  • 12 spring roll wrappers
  • 200g ground chicken or beef
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the filling onto a spring roll wrapper and fold the sides over the filling. Roll up tightly, sealing the edges with water.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Fry the spring rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the spring rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
