Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup groundnut powder (peanut powder)
  • 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the groundnut powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger powder, and salt to make the suya spice rub.
  2. Thread the beef slices onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  3. Brush the beef skewers with vegetable oil and coat them with the suya spice rub.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grill the beef skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Remove the beef skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
