Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the bowl with the butter-sugar mixture.
  3. Knead the mixture into a smooth dough, then wrap it in plastic and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness, then use cookie cutters to cut out biscuits.
  6. Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Allow the biscuits to cool on a wire rack before serving.
