Chuzos De Carne: Colombian Beef Skewers
Chuzos de Carne, or Colombian Beef Skewers, are a popular street food in Colombia. These flavorful skewers are made with marinated beef and are perfect for grilling or cooking on the stovetop.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 onion, cut into chunks
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the vegetable oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Add the beef cubes and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated beef, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers.
- Heat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve the chuzos de carne hot with aji sauce and arepas.
