Ingredients
- 1 pound beef, thinly sliced
- 3 lemongrass stalks, white parts only, finely minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil, turmeric, and black pepper.
- Add the beef slices to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- Heat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve the Cin Kyan Kyaw hot with steamed rice and your favorite dipping sauce.
