Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 shatkora (citrus fruit), sliced
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and red chili powder. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is browned.
  4. Add the sliced shatkora and salt, then cover and cook until the chicken is tender and the shatkora is softened.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
