Citrusy Meat Kebabs (shatkora Kebab)

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless meat, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons shatkora paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, shatkora paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  2. Add the meat cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated meat and cook until the meat is tender and the marinade has thickened.
  4. Thread the marinated meat, onion slices, and bell pepper chunks onto skewers.
  5. Grill the kebabs on a stovetop grill or in a grill pan for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are charred and cooked through.
  6. Serve the kebabs hot with lemon wedges.
