Ingredients
- 500g chicken thighs, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper for 15 minutes.
- Heat the claypot over medium heat and add cooking oil. Sauté garlic, ginger, green onions, and red chili until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Uncover the claypot, stir in the cornstarch mixture, and cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the Claypot Chicken Charm hot with steamed rice.
