Claypot Rice with Chinese Sausage (腊味煲仔饭)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 4 Chinese sausages, sliced
  • 4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice and drain well. Place it in the claypot.
  2. Arrange the Chinese sausage, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and garlic on top of the rice.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour this mixture over the ingredients in the claypot.
  4. Pour the chicken broth over the rice and ingredients.
  5. Cover the claypot and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Once the rice is cooked, let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. Mix everything together before serving.
